Printmaking with leaves, wood, and other natural materials.
What is collagraph printing you ask? It’s a printmaking process in which materials are applied to a rigid substrate, in this case, a piece of cardboard as the base. On the cardboard base textures are created by adhering objects such as sandpaper, bubble wrap, string, cut paper, flower petals, leaves and grass, etc. In some instances, leaves can be used as a source of pigment by rubbing them onto the surface of the plate. Ink or pigment is applied to the resulting collage, and the board is used to print onto paper or another material using various hand tools. The workshop fee is $10 per person.
