The Twisted Purl

As the owner and fiber artist of The Twisted Purl, Cyndi Minister has been producing handspun yarn and other handmade fiber creations since the start of 2007.  Her passion for handmade yarn and fibers began after not seeing the color combinations and textures she wanted to see in the market.  Now, The Twisted Purl is on a mission to fill the world with handspun yarn and handmade fiber goodies.

Cyndi was born in England, grew up in California, had an extended stay in Vermont, and now calls Arkansas home.  She is the mother to three active boys and the wife to a wonderful man who understands her fiber addictions.  In the heart of the natural state, The Twisted Purl creations come out of Cyndi’s home studio.

Cyndi was professionally trained in the blending and use of dyes by a Massachusetts company.  Her creations have been featured at the “2011 Knit & Crochet Show of America”; on television stations KARK, KATV Daybreak, Good Morning Arkansas, KLRT Talk Business, and KARN Radio First News with Bob Steel; in the Log Cabin, Arkansas Democrat, and multiple other publications.  The Twisted Purl won the 2013 Battle of the Brands competition beating out 63 corporations in Arkansas.  Photographs of her handspun yarn will be published in an upcoming educational textbook, Textiles for Fashion.

"I take fluff and turn it into string so you can make clothes and other pretty things." Cyndi Minister

The Twisted Purl sells products to customers and retailers worldwide through the company website www.HandmadeYarn.com and through multiple online venues.  Locally, in Conway, products can be found at the monthly Conway Art Walk, Conway Locally Grown, and coming soon to the brand new downtown adventure: The Locals.
